This education program, supported by Baxter, will highlight IV workflow systems and how to enhance patient safety in regards to sterile compounding. Join a combined faculty to discuss the science and technology behind these systems as well as real-world perspectives from a pharmacist perspective on implementation and training.

Gene Decaminada is currently the Pharmacy Manager for the Home Infusion Program at Yale New Haven Health Services (YNHHS). Jeff Brittain is a Senior Pharmacy Manager with Baxter’s Global Medical Affairs Team. He has a wide range of pharmacy practice and operations experience including military (US Air Force), specialty, informatics, medication safety, health system leadership, and industry. Brittain was an early adopter of IV workflow technology and has been using IV workflow systems for over 12 years. He has given dozens of presentations about IV workflow technology across the US and Canada, advocating that every patient deserves every dose to be prepared with the same level of safety and accuracy. He was a System Pharmacy Director for a large health system in South Carolina before joining Baxter in 2021.
