This webinar will provide an understanding of the changes to Medicare policies for parenteral nutrition after three decades and the impact on home infusion. New local coverage determinations for parenteral nutrition and the policy challenges that remain as well as advocacy efforts will be discussed. Kabicare Nutrition Resources created by Fresenius-Kabi, will be introduced as a tool to help home infusion practitioners navigate reimbursement challenges.

- Describe advocacy efforts leading to the retirement of the previous obsolete Medicare policies for parenteral nutrition.
- Review new Local Coverage Determinations (LCDs) for parenteral nutrition.
- Understand the challenges the remain with the "new" policies and the impact on access to home nutrition support for Medicare beneficiaries.
